Our MonGOlian Missionaries

Mission Team Headed To Mongolia

First Presbyterian Church is sending a mission team of five to Mongolia July 4 to July 17, 2024, to share the Gospel through conversational English. The team will be working alongside Mongolia Campus Crusade For Christ fulltime staff members who are arranging their ministry time. The outreach will be to educators and their families through English. English is a great way to open doors to talk about the Christian faith and invite people to accept Jesus.

Mongolia gained its independence from Russia in 1991 and elected to become a democratic, capitalistic country. Their constitution includes freedom of speech and religion. Only 15 years ago Mongolia changed from Russian to English as their second language. People are very open to hearing the Christian message as most Mongolians come from a Buddhist or Shamanist background. And they want to learn English. This is an open window of opportunity to share the Gospel.

There will be special luncheon May 19, 2024 at 11:15AM at First Presbyterian Church and a presentation on Mongolia and the mission trip. The public is invited. If you want to be part of this team, without physically going to Mongolia, you can support the team by making a financial gift to FPC GO MonGOlia, 180 N Adams Street, Wickenburg, AZ, 85390. If you have any questions contact the church office, 928-684-2836.The team will be commissioned to go to Mongolia on June 30, 2024 at the 9:30AM service. The public is also invited to the commissioning.

Presbyterian Women Mission Statement

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves: To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study; To support the mission of the church worldwide; To work for justice and peace; And to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

In furtherance of our mission work, Presbyterian Women organize, plan, and conduct a Christmas Bazaar in December featuring holiday gifts and decorations, baked goods, handmade items by church members, raffle baskets, raffle quilt, and quilts for sale.  This is our main fundraiser, and the proceeds go to support our various missions both locally and abroad.

We also meet for either a coffee hour or luncheon each month to give women from the Church and their guests opportunities to build a caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church and fosters fellowship.

The Fellowship Committee is responsible for cultivating the congregation through meaningful fellowship experiences. The activities are one way for church members to get to know each other and grow together in Christian love. In turn, the congregation grows closer as a body of Christ.
