Join Our Shoebox Mission!

Just one shoebox can change a life, forever.

As Matthew 25:40 reminds us, "Whatever you did for one of the least... you did for Me."

Here at First Presbyterian, we believe every child in need deserves to know they are loved by God, and Operation Christmas Child helps us accomplish this. Samaritan’s Purse sends gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel  of  Jesus Christ. Every November, we invite you to help us fill shoeboxes with gifts of love and prayers. These gifts travel to the ends of the earth to remind children they are not forgotten.  Whether you’re a long-time member or new to our church community, we want you to feel empowered and engaged in Sharing the Greatest Gift Across the Globe through Operation Christmas Child, a Samaritan’s Purse ministry, Here at First Presbyterian, we are in the unique position to send "Gospel Opportunities" packed in shoeboxes to children who may have never heard the name or the word of Jesus. Your simple gift of toys, school supplies, and hygiene items can open doors for a lifetime of faith. Let’s join together and make 2026 our most impactful year yet.

WHAT WE DO

In furtherance of our mission work, Presbyterian Women organize, plan, and conduct a Christmas Bazaar in December featuring holiday gifts and decorations, baked goods, handmade items by church members, raffle baskets, raffle quilt, and quilts for sale.  This is our main fundraiser, and the proceeds go to support our various missions both locally and abroad.

We also meet for either a coffee hour or luncheon each month to give women from the Church and their guests opportunities to build a caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church and fosters fellowship.
